It is always a pleasure to see how bright and clean your carpets look right after they have been professionally cleaned. Now you can keep them looking fresh and new longer by asking for Scotch guard Protection
Untreated: Treated:
The wine soaks into On treated carpet,
untreated carpet and the wine beads up,
makes a spot that is and can be blotted up
hard to remove. without a trace.
Scotchgard delivers its protection by forming a molecular shield around each carpet fiber. The shield lowers the surface energy of the carpet fibers causing them to repel liquid spills, soil, and dirt. This helps prevent dirt and stains from being ground into or absorbed by the fibers.
Scotchgard uses technology to provide more repellency than any other carpet protector does. It repels most liquids, allowing spills to be removed before staining and wicking can occur. Dirt and stains cling to untreated carpet and quickly embed themselves into the fibers. Scotchgard keeps dirt from sticking to the fibers, making carpets easier to care for.
Scotchgard must be professionally applied by your carpet cleaner. It is applied by spray application, dries quickly, and leaves no odor. It is non-toxic and safe to use around family and pets. It is CFC-and solvent-free.
In 1952, Patsy Sherman and Samuel Smith accidentally discovered Scotchgard (“Scotchgard,” 2009). In 1999, after the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) discovered the persistent organic pollutant, perfluorooctan sulfonate (PFOS), was the main ingredient Sherman and Smith had to take a turn (“Scotchgard,” 2009). They reformatted the formula and made perfluorobutanesulfonic (PFBS) the replacement of PFOS (“Scotchgard,” 2009). So all the rumors you heard about Scotchgard were true, but that was half a decade ago. Scotchgard is now environment friendly and there to protect your carpet.
Wine will soak into untreated carpet and make a spot that is difficult to get out, while on treated carpet, the wine beads up, and can be blotted up without a trace! Another bonus is that it will actually also improve you next professional cleaning and make it even more effective. More soil will be removed the next time your carpeting is professionally cleaned.
